12km of ice situated on New Zealand’s south island; an incredible place to see. It is known in Maori as “Ka Roimata o Hinehukatere” (Lit: The tears of Hinehukatere). Hinehukatere is said to have wept so long over the death of her lover that her tears formed the glacier.
